The Omnizant Blocks theme was developed with a few objectives in mind:
- To have a lean code base optimized for site performance and load time
- To decrease development time by building a GUI for common options using Advanced Custom Fields
- To allow easy modification and addition of content and design elements by non-developers through the GUI
- To host a selection of robust and reusable design components so designs can be easily snapped together with the design blocks
The end result allows development of a website in 2 days or less depending on the amount of content that needs to be arranged into the block pieces.
Variations are built into each block so you have one common interface for presenting content of the same type that can easily be modified as needed.
The layout blocks are also available to use on a custom page template to create engaging content layouts for not just the home page but important inside pages as well.
The interface integrates common use cases like custom classes and id's, organizing lists into columns, and background and content colors so blocks can be customized without needing to leave the WordPress Dashboard.
The theme now powers hundreds of websites and has been a significant boost to the teams' productivity and allows even non-developers to assist in website creation that would typically require a developer to manually modify the theme code.
